A polyethylene cutting board runs the length of the device, allowing you to slice and dice food as well as making sandwiches and salads. The cabinet and lid are insulated with foamed-in-place polyurethane to keep cold air in and warm air out, and the door, drawer fronts, lid, sides, and top are made of stainless steel for durability and strength.The internal temperature can be set between 33 and 41 degrees Fahrenheit using a self-contained capillary tube system and R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant. A rear-accessible condensing unit slides out of the True TSSU-48-12D-2-HC prep table to make cleaning and maintenance easier. An evaporator fan motor and fan blades distribute air uniformly throughout the device. The condensing fan motor blows in reverse for 20 seconds as the compressor starts to clear the coil of built-up junk. The condensing coil will remain clean if this feature is used in conjunction with periodic maintenance, extending the unit's lifespan. It will also operate more efficiently, consuming less energy and maintaining a higher product temperature.
